JH FCA Hosting Mercy Fest
The Jr. High FCA is hosting Mercy Fest again this year.  Mercy Fest will be Friday, May 5. At 5:15 p.m., free food will be available for students and a free concert will follow, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Kindergarten Round-up
Children, age 5 before August 1, 2017, can register for Kindergarten on Monday and Tuesday, April 10 & 11, 2017 at North Side Elementary School. The hours are from 1:00-7:00 p.m. Please bring your child's birth certificate, social security card, immunization records, and custody papers (if applicable) with you. If you have any questions, please call the North Side Office at 765-964-6430.

NS - 4th Grade Field Trips

NS - 4th Grade Field Trips
This week, the fourth grade classes went to the Levi and Catharine Coffin House in Fountain City and the State Museum in Indianapolis.

At the State Museum, students experienced hands on learning about Indiana history, famous Hoosiers, a rock from the moon brough back to Indiana and native animals, as well as a plethora of otherr topics. In addition, while at the State Museum, Wick's Pies was there for National Pi Day (3.14) and gave each student an individual state pie, sugar creme, of course. 

At the Levi and Catharine Coffin House, students toured the house and the barn to experience life of the Freedom Chasers  through the Underground Railroad.

NS Family Reading Night

NS Family Reading Night
North Side's Family Reading Night was another great evening to share the love of reading! Family Reading Night is held in conjunction with the PTO-Scholastic Book Fair and Visitor's Week. The whole week is filled with events for students, staff, and families to enjoy books and reading together.

A special Thank You goes to the PTO, and especially Wendy Smith, for all the hard work to make this week successful!

NS Participates in World Read Aloud Day

NS Participates in World Read Aloud Day
Several elementary classrooms participated in World Read Aloud Day. Students and teachers read books aloud and created a video to share across Twitter with other classrooms. Students enjoyed the opportunity to hear stories read and performed by other classes around the world.
