Mrs. Elmore's students have been learning about holiday celebrations around the world. The Jr/Sr high students researched how Christmas is celebrated in different counties and make posters to share the information with younger students. Junior High Play "A Principal's Apprentice"

Jr-high-play-pic800x450
15 students in grades 5-8, under the direction of Mr. Brad Hoggett, presented "A Principal's Apprentice" on Thursday, Oct. 27. The performance was awesome as the students told the story of Principal Donald Trumpet.

“You’re fired!” rings out from Principal Donald Trumpet’s boardroom during Griffin Dodge’s first ten minutes on the job at Bandersnatch High School. But it isn’t directed at him. No, Trumpet has just fired his aide, his associate, and his assistant, leaving Griffin the only one left to take up the slack. “How does Trumpet get away with that?!” one departing ex-staffer wonders. Only the cleaning lady, Rita, knows the secret — a book called The Art of Hypnotism. With this discovery, a new world opens up for Griffin. However, this new bag of tricks turns out to be a can of worms! Before he can master his hypnotic power, Griffin causes one lady to fall in love with him, another to think she is his mother and still another to see dragons in the school halls! As if this wasn’t bad enough, suddenly Principal Trumpet vanishes! When the police arrive, Griffin is their main suspect. Lines fly rapid-fire in this spoof of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”
